Better things to do
Doesn’t the US Senate have anything better to do than stick their noses into college football? It’s not like we are in the middle of a recession (near depression).
Sen. Orrin Hatch(R) of Utah is behind this because the people he represents are furious that Utah was bypassed for the championship despite their undefeated regular season.
Maybe it is because I do not follow college ball, but that seems like time wasted over something petty. If Utah feels they were screwed, then the school should file a suit against the Championshop Bowl Series. Granted, winning does bring in a pretty penny, but isn’t the court system a better forum to address this rather than the US Senate?
